If you’ve decided to play Lotto, EuroMillions, Thunderball, Lotto HotPicks or Lotto Plus 5 by text then you’ll also need to know how to go about crediting your account by text.
Before you can play any of The National Lottery’s games by text you must open an online account. This will allow you to play online, and if you also add your mobile number to your account you will then be able to play games and credit your account by text.
Below we describe how you can add funds to your online account by text.
There are three ways in which you can add funds to your National Lottery online account via text.
Add the word ‘LOAD’ to the end of your play message.
e.g. ‘LOTTO LUCKY 4 LOAD’ and send to 61111.
This will credit your Account with the minimum amount in order to complete the purchase (i.e. 4 lines of Lotto Lucky Dip for the next draw).
The minimum amount that can be credited at any one time is £5. Therefore if you have less than £4 in your National Lottery Account, your account will be credited with £5 to and then debited £4.
Enter ‘LOAD’ plus the amount you wish to add to your National Lottery Account.
e.g. ‘LOAD 15′ and send to 61111. This will credit your Account with £15.
Once you are registered to play by text, you can choose for The National Lottery to automatically add the correct funds from your bank Account to your National Lottery Account to complete your purchase. This is called ‘Autoload’.
If you do not have enough money in your National Lottery Account to complete your purchase, they will add a minimum of £5.
Confirmation of such debits from your bank account will be shown on the Transactions page of the National Lottery website.
To check your Account balance on the move, text ‘BAL’ to 61111 and your current balance will be sent to your phone.
